About OP4K
Building the global infrastructure for Childhood Impact. — OP4K connects the knowledge, capital, projects and decision-makers required to make Childhood Impact visible, measurable and financeable.
The founding conviction
Childhood is shaped by decisions made far beyond traditional child policy. Capital allocation, technology, corporate governance, public infrastructure, health systems, education and the design of services all influence the conditions in which childhood unfolds. Yet those consequences remain insufficiently measured, insufficiently governed and insufficiently financed. OP4K was created to close that gap.
Childhood Impact is the missing criterion of the 21st century.
The systems remain disconnected
Knowledge without allocation
Research and evidence often remain disconnected from funding decisions.
Funding without long-term structure
Too much funding is short-term, fragmented and difficult to compare.
Commitment without verification
Corporate giving is often communicated more clearly than it is measured.
Governance without a childhood lens
Decision-makers rarely assess the consequences of their choices on childhood.
One architecture. Three engines.
OP4K brings together three functions that are usually separated: knowledge, capital allocation and verified commitment.
The three engines
Child Impact Institute
Creates the knowledge, methods, networks and governance tools required to make Childhood Impact a strategic discipline.
Discover →OP4K Capital
Identifies, assesses and supports social infrastructure and projects capable of producing durable Childhood Impact.
Discover →1%4Kids
Mobilises a transparent, recurring and verifiable share of economic activity or success for approved childhood projects.
Discover →Knowledge → Allocation → Commitment → Evidence → Better decisions
What makes OP4K different
Childhood as a strategic criterion
OP4K evaluates how decisions affect childhood, not only what organisations do for children.
Knowledge linked to capital
Research informs project selection and capital allocation.
Verified recurring commitment
1%4Kids transforms intention into documented annual commitment.
Rigorous project selection
Projects are reviewed according to eligibility, governance, impact and reporting criteria.
Governance and accountability
Decisions, conflicts of interest and evidence are documented.
International and cross-sector approach
The platform connects local realities with international standards and capital.
A founding vision
OP4K was founded on a simple idea: childhood should no longer be treated only as a protected public or a philanthropic cause. It should become a strategic criterion for decision-making, capital allocation and governance. The ambition is to build a durable institution capable of connecting public-interest purpose, private commitment, professional expertise and measurable impact.
